Fish...

There are a lot of fish in the sea, but what most people don't realize is that there are a lot of people in the world too.

Entertainment...

When I was a child, the simplest things, like balancing as I walked on a log fence, would keep me entertained. Now that I'm older, it takes more complex things to keep me entertained, like watching TV.

Kayaking...

Sometimes I wonder about kayaking... If you are strapped into a kayak that's going down a rapid rocky river and the kayak turns upside down, you better be careful because your face might get scraped by rocks.

Daddy Long-Legs...

Most people don’t realize that the most poisonous spider in the world is the Daddy Long-Leg. Luckily, their mouths are too small to actually bite a human... but I bet there are a few out there with large mouths.

Laws...

When you are young, people tell you that you can do anything you set your mind to. Then when you grow up you discover that you can’t do everything you want because there are these little things called “laws” that get in the way.

Dreams...

Today while I was on a walk, I saw 3 little kids engaging in imaginary play. They jumped up and down on their front porch shouting, I love jumping on this trampoline! I wanted to walk over to them and tell them I had always dreamed of having a trampoline as a child too and actually still yearn for one every day, and that some dreams never come true…but I didn’t want to crush their young dreams.

Measure your time...

They say to measure your time on earth in heartbeats, not seconds....but I think the best way to measure is in bowel movements.

Ghost tricks....

When a ghost turns on a light to try and scare a person but the person happens to be looking the other way, I bet that's very irritating to ghosts because they are only allowed 1 scare per year. Now their big “scare” was nothing more than someone thinking they must have turned on a light and not remembered doing it. Bummer for the ghost.

To be a bird.........

To dance is to fly,

and to fly is to be a bird,

and to be a bird is to have feathers and a beak.

About Me

My photo
Hi I'm Karin, (aka Know It Mom) but don't let the name fool you . . . I am definitely not a know-it-all. But, I am a Mom who loves to share things I'm learning. I also love sharing my struggles, successes, and failures. I am now a mother of two (a son and daughter who are growing up WAY too fast), This is definitely the hardest job in the world! But you know what else it is? It is the most rewarding and fulfilling job you could ever, ever, have. Thank you for being here. I welcome your input and hope that we all can learn together and from each other. XO - Karin
